MQSeries User Group Meeting

May 16th, 2001 Seminar Status and Presentation Download

The May 16th, 2001 seminar was organized by MQUG committee members:
Paul Blanz, Jenny Chow, Maryellen Evans, Derek Hornby, Srinivas Lanka, Sunny Lee and Gary Ward. It was held in the World Financial Center, New York City. Much appreciation goes to Extricity for providing delicious breakfast and lunch. We also thank Nastel for kindly sponsoring the conference facilities.

Derek Hornby kicked off the meeting with over 120 MQS professionals. The first presentation was by Arthur Zinn of Pershing, who provided very useful specs and tips on how to implement “Message Chaining”. He also held a “Question and Answer” session for general development concerns. Brad Reinders of Extricity presented “ Partner Agreement Manager (PAM) Technical Overview”, which described the higher technology solutions of supporting B2B collaborative commerce and managing business partner profiles. During lunch time, Paul Blanz, representing MQUG committee, held a business meeting. A volunteer task list has been established and distributed by Sunny Lee. We are in need of a site, sponsors, presenters, and people to fulfill other tasks for the next seminar. (Please refer to the Volunteer Task form.) After lunch, David Mavashev of Nastel covered the topic of “Bringing Business to the Web with MQSeries”. He showed the challenges in ensuring eBusiness continuity and the intelligent solutions for eBsuiness Integration Management. The final topic of the day was “JMS, J2EE and MQSeries” presented by Brain Crabtree of EAI . He explained the usage of MQS in JAVA world. Our next seminar will be held in October, 2001. We would like to have presenters for the topics on distributed platform.
