MQSeries User Group Meeting

The June 8th meeting was a huge success. It was held in Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. We appreciated and gave thanks to Chuck Goebel from Promenix, who provided us the breakfast and lunch.

Maryellen Evans (New Century Systems) and Don Skidmore (New Century Systems) presented Highlights of MQSeries Conference in Dallas and MQSeries Trends and Directions .

Chuck Goebel (Promenix, Inc.) presented Interfacing SAP R/3 with Legacy Applications via MQSeries.

Wayne Schutz (IBM) presented MQSeries and the World-Wide-Web. Wayne explained various methods and approaches to setup WWW using MQSeries.

There were three How to Sessions in the meeting. The intent of these sessions was to share presenters’ experiences or how to implement certain functions in MQSeries.

Steve Hochman (Merrill Lynch) shared his experience as a middleware manager on “Monitoring a large MQ environment”. Jenny Chow (IBM) explained basic concepts of IBM MQSeries Publish/Subscribe which was available this year, and how to install and get it up and running in the quickest way. Benjamin Zhou (Financial Sciences) presented his two years of experience in MQSeries application projects and provided tips and hints on MQ design.
